Firebrand Auction Poster
As part of a community partnership between Firebrand Artisan Breads in Alameda and Paden Elementary School, I had the opportunity to design this promotional poster for a unique auction item: a lunch and behind-the-scenes bakery tour. The design combines bold branding elements with playful visuals—such as scattered croissants and crumbs—to convey warmth, invitation, and artisanal charm.
This project involved balancing professional aesthetics with a friendly, school-oriented tone. I worked with Firebrand's existing brand identity, integrating their logo and typography, while adding visual movement and texture to capture attention in a crowded auction setting. The result is a clean yet whimsical poster that reflects both the craftsmanship of Firebrand and the excitement of a special school event.

Client Brief & Goals
As a community partnership, Firebrand needed a poster for an auction at Paden Elementary. The design had to reflect an inviting invitation to the bakery.
Research & Inspiration
To begin, I researched Firebrand’s existing visual identity and brand values, focusing on their artisan approach, community involvement, and clean, bold aesthetic. I also explored visual references related to school field trips, bakery themes, and food design. Inspiration came from rustic-modern design styles, clean layouts, and promotional posters that balance warmth with professionalism.
Concept Development
I established the main objective: to create an inviting poster for Paden Elementary, encouraging participation in a bakery tour and lunch event. I outlined a concept that merged Firebrand’s branding with playful, kid-friendly visuals—something that would appeal to both students and educators. The idea of using croissants and crumbs as framing elements came early in this stage, helping to build a warm and appetizing visual experience.Design Execution
The layout was built around the Firebrand logo as the central element, ensuring brand recognition. I used a clean, white background to keep the focus on the imagery and text. High-resolution croissants were placed symmetrically in the corners, with scattered crumbs creating texture and energy. Typography was chosen to balance clarity and tone: bold serif fonts for the headline to establish trust and a lighter serif for the body copy to keep it approachable. A sans-serif font was used for the contact info to maintain modern readability.Client Feedback & Revisions
After presenting the initial draft, the feedback was minimal but important: emphasize the school name slightly more and ensure the contact information is easy to read at a glance. I adjusted the hierarchy of the text by increasing the size and weight of “Paden Elementary” and improved spacing on the call-to-action to enhance clarity.Final Delivery
The final poster was delivered as a high-resolution PNG, optimized for both digital distribution and print. The design successfully reflects Firebrand’s artisanal brand while engaging a younger audience through playful visuals and a welcoming layout.
